Somehow we all ended up here together
Was there some calling?
Some need for more fertile soil?
The vegetation finally got desperate enough
To be more proactive
The shady, leaf-covered ground
Beckons like a womb
Uprooting was not an option
Still, it needed to attract its sustenance
The new pollen was dispersed in our direction
So our will to live dissipated
And just like to a light we were attracted
The pills, the knives
Our lives trickle away
Into the black earth
And are absorbed by our keepers
