The vegetation finally got desperate enough

Beckons like a womb
Uprooting was not an option

The new pollen was dispersed in our direction
So our will to live dissipated
And just like to a light we were attracted
The pills, the knives
Our lives trickle away
Into the black earth
And are absorbed by our keepers
